On March 1st, of this year I was involved in a horrific car accident. After having a clean driving record my whole life, my first mistake EVER completely changed my life. People don't understand how much accidents can impact ones life. In one moment everything can change. I can't quite remember everything that happened that day, but my granddaughter was there to tell what happened. When the accident occurred i was completely unconscious due to being hit head on by 2 vehicles. My granddaughter tried helping me until the ambulance came, and then they realized the horrible state i was in and had to rush me to the nearest General Hospital. My body had put itself in a comatose state (which went on to last 3 months) before i finally woke up. I suffered from a broken neck, broken ribs, and severe brain hematoma and tearing of the tissues in my brain in multiple places. My poor Elly (my El Camino) was completely totaled on every side, and not in a reversible state, so they had to take her to the tow yard. Once the doctors realized the severity of my injuries they told my family to no get their hopes up, and that i could be in a vegetative state for the rest of my life. Thankfully i had my amazing wife and family there for support, praying and nurturing me each and every day, until by the grace of GOD, i woke up! After weeks of both physical and speech therapy i finally started feeling better. I was able to come home finally after 5 long months in the hospital, and now here I am so close to my normal self, talking to my DA friends!
